Extreme Build for Youth (EBfY) is this Habitat for Humanity of South Collin County’s (HfHSCC) longest standing and most exciting program. EBfY is an annual house build with HfHSCC where young people across the community from different schools, churches, organizations, faiths, age groups, races, and backgrounds are come together to build safe, affordable homes for deserving low-income families in the community. EBfY has completed 11 houses in 9 years in partnership with our Affiliate and Partner Families. The 12th house is about 85% complete.
EBfY provides an opportunity for nearly 750 area teens (90% ages 16-18; 10% ages 14-15 per build day) to learn new skills, participate in rewarding community service, earn service hours, and work as a diverse team to plan, sponsor, and build homes for deserving families. Youth not only construct the house in three months, but they also plan and coordinate the volunteers, lunches, meetings and fundraisers year-round.

Mission: Seeking to put God’s love into action by building homes, communities and hope.
Vision: A world where everyone has
a decent place to live.
Habitat for Humanity of South Collin County has constructed 80 new, decent & affordable houses since 1998 in southern Collin County, transforming the lives of 248 deserving Partner Family members, including 143 children. In the last two years alone, 151 projects for low-income families in the community were completed, including 14 new houses constructed & 137 home repair/rehabilitation projects. While these are major milestones for our organization, the need continues to grow. It is only with community support that we can continue to address the need for safe & affordable housing in our community.
